On September 19, 20 and 21 we will be celebrating 75 years of doing business in this community and hope you will all join us. We are working hard on making this a memorable event. We are in the process of writing our Eisley Family Cookbook, hoping that you, our extended family, have contributed your favorite recipes. If not, please hurry to do so. We are also hoping to have our 2009 calendar ready for you. This year we have been selling our “Eisley’s 75th Celebration” rose as a one time only selection. We still have a limited number left for sale so hurry and get one if you haven’t already.

You can add interest and a cooling effect by adding a water feature to your garden. It can be an elaborate cascade or waterfall into a pond, or as simple as a table top fountain on the patio. Ponds do require a little maintenance to keep them algae free and beautiful but what an asset to your yard! Add water plants and fish if you like, but the simple sound of moving water alone can be refreshing!

Filter Your Air!

It had been found through many studies that common houseplants can help filter out harmful air pollutants such as benzene, formaldehyde and trichloroethylene, commonly found in homes and buildings. Stop in and select plants such as philodendron, spider plant, snake plant, dracaena, peace lily or pothos. A typical 1800 sq. ft. home needs 15 to 20 6” plants to purify the air. Additionally it has been shown that plants in the workplace decrease stress, enhance productivity, reduce distractions, and improve employee morale.
